How absurd is this? All hospitals should have body cameras permanently worn and recording at all times. What’s the point of having to warn someone first and then activate the camera? Typical nonsense as usual to pander to those that refuse to act like civilised human beings. If the police have them recording constantly then so should all front line workers for their own safety including retail and hospitality workers. Violence is totally unacceptable, and violence is not just physical, it is intimidation, psychological abuse, verbal abuse and coercive behaviour. As a former frontline worker myself many years ago in a highly dangerous vocation, I experienced this multiple times over many years, so I know what these front line workers are going through and the trauma stays with you for life. It can and does manifest in many different ways in your life after you leave the job too.
