Here we are again, medical professionals arrogance on steroids. The gestation period is 40 weeks, and normally if your baby is late it is not allowed to go past 42 weeks because it is dangerous for your baby. Twins usually arrive early anything from 36 weeks, but 38 weeks was the ball park week back when I was young. 

This poor woman put through this awful treatment and her baby suffering dangerous medical conditions. This is absolutely horrific and a classic example of negligence by health professionals. How dare they tell her to hold on and calm down. No effort made to check the baby’s vitals or the mother’s by the sound of the news article. Surely these would have been done especially given the heart conditions running in the family. 

If you feel that you are not being listened to or you believe your baby is in danger then stand your ground and ask for the medical advocate or what ever name they are known as in your state or Territory. That is your right and don’t forget that please. 

Do not let anyone intimidate you or insult your intelligence when you are obviously concerned. You have every right to be concerned. Medical professionals can make mistakes and I am speaking from experience. If you read my blog you will see what my husband has gone through over the past few years and especially this year prior to life saving surgery. The treatment of women has never changed since I was young in the 1980’s. In fact it has gotten worse over time and now people are fearful of hospitals with the stuff that is in the public domain and on top of that the changes that have transpired since COVID. 

It is up to the public to demand the change happens and not leave it to politicians to use as an election platform tool and then buck-pass  when elected. 

I can tell you when I had my children there were horror stories about the hospitals in western Sydney, and the treatment of women when the AIDS epidemic started through sheer ignorance women were traumatised. When I fell pregnant I was somewhat nervous about what sort of treatment I would receive as the two local public hospitals had a reputation for the way they treated women in the maternity ward. I made enquiries about what was the best place to go and was told to try the country hospital near where I lived. I am so glad that I did because the staff there treated women much better and were very supportive of women’s rights. Not so with the partnering hospital  nearby. 

 I discovered that I couldn’t go into labour at all, my body just didn’t work. So both of my children were induced and instrument delivery. My first baby was born at 41.5 weeks and was still sitting too high up. I had a fantastic doctor, but my baby did have foetal distress at birth and pooped everywhere. He was 8 lbs, red and puffy or cooked (what they called a post term baby at the time) looking but very bright eyed. 

The second baby was a different story, as I was ill all the way through and under weight because I couldn’t stop vomiting until the day before my baby was born. But what angered me was when I asked for an epidural the arrogant misogynist told me, I shouldn’t be having a baby if I can’t handle the pain. My husband and I just looked at each other in shock. This from a supposedly educated man, he  is lucky that I was not in a physical condition to bitch slap him. I was almost 30 and having some misogynistic pig speaking to me like that left me flabbergasted. My baby was born one day short of the EDC, which I had calculated as it was part of my day job anyway. The doctors kept saying that I was wrong. Bull shit, if you know the exact date of the LMP then count 40 weeks that gives you the exact EDC. That is a fact that I have always known and always kept a diary on from the age of 15.

 My second child did have problems and wasn’t moving at the end of the pregnancy. The doctor told me that is normal because there isn’t a lot of room for him to move, which is true. Now this was a female doctor that I did my antenatal care with,  and she kept saying that I was further along than I thought. She wouldn’t listen when I told her I have big babies, my husband’s side of the family are big solid people. She was otherwise a good doctor, but she also didn’t listen when I told her my EDC was correct. Arrogance must be included in the medical degree! I ended up having to go on maternity leave earlier because my health was suffering as was the baby, there was already a threatened miscarriage at the start of my pregnancy too which required bed rest, and the same at the end of my pregnancy. The birth was an induction yet again and another 8lb baby. 

Geez what would a stupid woman know about having big babies and knowing how to calculate the EDC. I already had experience in babies by the second birth and surrounded by 10 other women in my office who were pregnant and experienced parents. 

On the day of the birth I was apprehensive about the outcome, the baby’s face was blue at birth and not breathing so he had to be put on oxygen. The misogynistic doctor admitted that the boy’s EDC was right as I had said. I replied, yes I know I am right. 

So ladies stand your ground be empowered but be polite too. Manners cost nothing and you will look competent and confident in your actions and decisions. First up is learning your rights as a patient and a woman. Never let anyone undermine you or disrespect you, remember respect is a two way street.

Best of luck to all the parents that have been through this trauma I hope you heal and have beautiful children and boundless happiness and joy in your lives. 

Thank you to all of the good medical professionals out there who know how tough it is in the medical profession, it is no walk in the park but with the public and the medical community surely we can band together and make the changes that we all need.

Wow, Unbelievable what morons, maybe the government officials should have been there in person to supervise this. But hey that would be too intelligent. Contracts are put in writing, how hard is it to read and comprehend  the detailed instructions?

Hospitality is a tough gig, these people work hard and are often copping abuse from arrogant and ignorant customers. Which is a form of violence and intimidation in the workplace. It is no one’s business what education level the staff member has, we are not entitled to know anything about the staff and should never be so crass as to assume anything about them. 

There is absolutely no shame in doing good honest work, no matter what you do for a living. To me this shows the person treating a staff member like this has a problem with their own self esteem and trying to make themselves feel better by belittling others. I am actually amazed at any waiter’s excellent memory, juggling all the orders and keeping the service running smoothly. There are skills to learn in any job, but good communication skills and a good personality are essential in public facing roles. 

I had a friend that treated people in hospitality rather rudely, I dropped her like a hot potato as I didn’t want to be seen as being anything like her. Respect costs nothing, but this speaks volumes about the mindset of these abusive individuals. 

Some people actually enjoy their job in hospitality because they are people persons, and it is lovely to be greeted by such people with a smile when you are in a cafe, restaurant or bar. I always make a point in smiling and thanking the people that serve me wherever I go. I also say, have a great day, and I mean it. If they are not too busy I ask them how their day is going too.  Because I know that sometimes the person is going through something on a personal level and still has to deal with customers who have absolutely no idea if that person is suffering from depression, anxiety or has ASD. They may have an illness yet still have to work. I meet people in such circumstances and have the utmost respect for them, try walking a day in their shoes and you will see it’s not so easy. 

Looking at the comments on this story shows me that there are some very nasty people around. Trolls that have nothing better to do than make stupid comments, again it is the mindset that is abusive and maladjusted. Such is the times we are living in unfortunately.

Christ, this is horrific, my heart goes out to this man’s family, this just shouldn’t happen and it shows what a third rate telecommunications company Telstra has become over many years. I was bloody lucky this morning because I called the Emergency Services on 000 at 2.29 am because my husband was in respiratory distress and in excruciating pain, from what he was originally in A and E for on Wednesday morning, (on his 60th birthday).  I was told there was a long wait, and as I was on the phone the line was crackling. I was frustrated also because of all the questions when I insisted my husband couldn’t breathe and was newly discharged from hospital, is diabetic with a heart condition too. Luckily the ambulance was here within 5 minutes and the ambo’s were fantastic.

I had to ring our family doctor as soon as the practice opened this morning at 8.00am, and I had to redial multiple times for just over an hour, just to cancel my husband’s medical appointment as their website server was down and the phone lines were constantly engaged with patients trying to contact the surgery. The receptionist was sympathetic and told me they have had technical difficulties since the day before and today. This is Telstra at their finest screw ups as usual. 

But the kicker was the  Non attendance bill emailed to my husband  in hospital today billing him for non attendance for his appointment. I kid you not. It will be fixed up though, out sourcing, what could possibly go wrong when you’re outsourcing to overseas companies with no control over what happens. 

My husband is currently in hospital for the next few days pending surgery, unfortunately no surgery is done over the weekend unless a patient is in grave danger of dying. Well hubby came very close to that I can tell you. As is reflected in many posts on this blog. There have been many close calls, over 35 years of our marriage.

This has sat in draft since 2021, but I decided to post it today with an article that was in the news yesterday added in an update. People have a lot more to be worried about right now than this BS. Like the looming world war, don’t be naive and think what is happening in Ukraine or the Middle East won’t happen in your country or town. That will make this climate crap insignificant. Do you think you can protest like idiots when you are being bombed and shot at by the enemy? Good luck with that one.

People get what they deserve when this climate BS is tolerated. There is no way ordinary people could produce the amount of pollution that factories generate, and it has nothing to do with the climate really. The universe goes through cycles of temperature and weather patterns sometimes lasting hundreds of years or longer. Ask Greta to explain that to the masses, she is not a scientist and she has no right to spout propaganda to anyone and  most importantly, who is really feeding her the rubbish she goes on about? 

This climate change garbage is a construction of spin doctors to create an agenda, it comes from the top, down. To put the masses under harsh control and of course divided. There isn’t any climate emergency and never has been; only universal weather cycles. Pollution is a different matter and again it is not the fault of the people, it is the fault of big business. China is the largest producer of pollution in the world as a Google search will show. None of these idiots point the finger at China because they are too stupid to think about that and too gutless. 

The masses are expected to go cold in winter and use less electricity; and in summertime go without a cooling fan or aircon. Try living in 40 degree heat in summer without aircon.  Children, old people and animals can and do die in that heat.  Try to stay alive in cold weather in the northern hemisphere in a freezing cold winter, again many freeze to death due to not being able to heat their home or are homeless. Meanwhile the rich still consume vast amounts of energy unchecked and travel in private jets. What’s wrong with this picture? 

For example the queen living in Buckingham palace owns vast tracts of land world wide, real-estate around the world and so much wealth that she can’t spend in a lifetime; ditto prince Charles. These people could elevate poverty instantly but don’t. They want to keep their millions of pounds. World poverty could be a thing of the past if these billionaires actually stepped up and shared the money by paying their taxes in full. That money that ordinary people helped them amass in blood sweat and tears. 

Gates owns vast tracts of farmland in the US and more assets than we know about like all the rest of these rich and powerful people. They don’t know what it’s like to be hungry, homeless and struggling to survive. So out of touch with you and I with no real empathy or compassion for the masses, their actions speak volumes about their priorities. They want us to give up everything in some cases even our lives, but not them. They are superior to the masses and will never be held accountable to anything but are herding people up to corporate communism for life. 

Brainwashing the youth of the world; that lack a real life experience and has no memory of suffering throughout the Great Depression and two world wars, and recessions throughout history, nor the reality of living through a communist regime. The young and naive don’t want to know the harsh reality of what they are singing up for but they will.  They point blank refuse to listen to the older people that have lived through this suffering and loss. 

But the climate change morons will grovel and hang on every word spouted by Greta, Gates, Al Gore etc; like the indoctrinated sycophants they are. Everyone clambering for a vegan diet; to stunt growth and intellect that any doctor and especially a neurologist will warn you about the damage done from a vegan diet. Oh, but it helps the planet, er no it doesn’t and is unsustainable. 

Well, I am glad that I won’t be alive to see the damage that will be done. Messing with nature which includes homosapiens  is an absolute disaster waiting to happen and it will. So who will be held to blame when it happens? History is being redacted currently and by the time things go pear shaped those really responsible will most likely be dead and unaccountable. So the buck stops with the masses. On a cosmic level the masses will be also held accountable too, because they lack the spiritual education to know what actually is and isn’t their doing.,  it will put their hands up for karmic punishment. That my friends is how it rolls.

Asumption is the mother of all f##k ups! A GP is perhaps not the best qualified person to make a diagnosis on skin cancer and there are many different ways skin cancers appear. There are too many screw ups like this happening in Australia. My husband was twice told his cancer was eczema by our doctor, despite me intuitively knowing it was skin cancer, but thankfully our doctor did refer my husband to a dermatologist because the medication for eczema made absolutely no difference. I had to keep nagging my husband for a year or two to get his arm checked out because I knew something was wrong. 

People should get into the habit of having a skin cancer checkup at a  cancer clinic. Stay up to speed on your skin check ups for peace of mind. It is our responsibility to maintain checkups at the recommended times. 

I am glad this young mother has had proper medical care so that she can continue to raise her family. I hope that she never has to go through this ever again. Please; book an appointment to have your skin checked, remember the damage is done usually in childhood and appears to be dormant for several years before it manifests visibly. I often see small children outdoors without sun hats and exposed skin in summer and babies in strollers without sun hats or a canopy to protect them from the sun. The younger the child the more delicate the skin and the UV rays penetrate deep into the skin. Bad habits in sun protection can be lethal and in a country like Australia one must never take risks with their skin, not to mention the importance of teaching children good skills in skin protection for life. There is nothing more unsightly than skin like leather which prematurely ages the individual. 

Mysterious hum keeps town in Northern Ireland awake

I am surprised that there is no mention of the Bay side hum in San Francisco. I am of the opinion that this is under ground tunneling that is happening or mining. That could be either the government or a private company doing this. Obviously it is of a clandestine nature and no doubt it’s under tight security. Which makes me think of a government program like military installations under ground. In WW2 the Royal Air Force had small underground facilities in Scotland that are still there. Usually in the countryside out of view. The only tell tale sign was a little metal fence and a manhole. I was on a school excursion once as a teenager and we were looking at historical sites where one of these Air Force bunkers was a right next to it. Our teacher pointed it out to us and I recall seeing a documentary on these Air Force under ground installations around that time in the late seventies. 

So it makes sense that this could be what is going on with these strange noises not just in Ireland but also around the world. 

Dlook website hosting issues again! Alex is moving to a new website

 Well this year has been challenging to say the least. I have been on to Dlook again twice today with two different matters. I appreciate the account manager may be busy or perhaps not in the office today, and obviously I will have to wait until the emails have been read before any further steps are taken. 

The past year I have been wondering what is going on because work has not be up to the usual standards. So out of curiosity I went online to the Dlook website and typed in Psychics in Canberra., I wasn’t listed!

I have paid to be listed in Canberra, nationally and internationally since 2017. Though that has been an issue every Christmas too, when my service was cut without my knowledge or permission despite me having paid for continued service uninterrupted throughout December and January. 

I only found out by people contacting me to say they can’t get on my website to pay. I was never given a discount or refund only a verbal apology. I told the accountant manager if this happened again I would leave because it has happened every single year. Only this year has been the first year of uninterrupted service but again the service was not what I paid for because I have not been listed properly and not under Canberra at all causing me a loss of income. 

I only today made this discovery that I have not been on my local listing. That was just out of curiosity after getting these two emails via Piivot. I went on to the Dlook website to look for my name in the advertising listing. Angry doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel right now. This is the straw that broke the camel’s back. Enough is enough I am now looking for a new website host. I just refuse to put up with this nonsense anymore.

No name to say that this is me International and National on the front page of Psychics and Clairvoyants, but I am not on the list for Canberra at all. How many people would actually bother to click on this? I am not the only person that doesn’t have their name displayed on the list. 

I looked on my website today at the contact page and suddenly the hours of service are different and medium is misspelled. How very unprofessional is this! 

I only went here because this week I have had two people enquiring and the email comes into my inbox as sent by Piivot with a .IO email address and I thought it was spam and blocked them. Only to find one lady had left a text message on my phone. So she is booked in and I unblocked the email.  I would not have known otherwise.

I am waiting for a response from my service manager to explain what piivot is doing on my website. I  don’t know what it is either. Other than something used by people in the IT industry. I have not been informed of any updates to my website either. That was the same last year too when my emails were unanswered by my account manager only to be told she is ill and hasn’t been able to return to work. So my emails were just left unattended. There are other staff members that can step in but apparently I “fell through the cracks” that was the excuse given. 

This is my contact page that is currently showing. I have no idea when it was changed. 

I only ever worked 10.00am to 3.00pm in all my years. My front page on the website clearly states that I work 10.00am to 3.00 pm.  I also work on weekends and public holidays since I started working. This looks totally unprofessional.

Update: 15 November  2023, 2.17pm Its still saying closed on the weekend. My account manager says we will fix it. That is after another email telling me the last one was sent to be fixed. So yeah I pull the pin the last day of my contract. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!

This poor young woman suffering like this and dismissed by yet another arrogant doctor. How disrespectful and disempowering to be treated like this. I hope that some good can come out of this situation and protect others in similar circumstances. The heartache that this woman and her family have had to endure is unacceptable and something needs to be done to hold the medical system accountable.

That’s a code brown folks 🤣🤣🤣🐍🐍🐍 No one wants to have an experience like this on the road but hey, weird stuff happens in Australia and at least the snake was on the outside of his car. He really should have phoned an  animal welfare agency to come to rescue the snake not just leave it in the car engine. I wonder if he was game to check the engine after work  😳 Spiders are another visitor and hitchhiker that we get in our cars over here, I have had spiders in my car but I  just belt them , lol.

 Snakes often get into a car in rural areas or out bush though. I recall a  teacher that I had when I first came to Australia in the early 1970’s,  telling the class about when he was driving way out bush and a snake managed to get into his car via the front wheel on the drivers side. This is not a regular occurrence but it does happen occasionally and just part of life in Australia.
