Weather expectation for summer

We are having unseasonal weather this year, which is part of the effect of it being a Fire Horse year. The element of fire and the planet Mars which is the ruler of the first house of the zodiac is an intense dry influence. So we can expect hotter than normal summer this year in both the northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere this year.  Australia can expect a slightly more mild winter through to August. Before the summer scorcher starts due to the prevailing astrological effects, so don't plant heat sensitive plants as you will run up a big water bill. The rain we have experienced in Australia this year is influenced by Neptune; the watery planet being in  Aries in the first house of the zodiac implying plenty rain and humidity. 

There are a few planets in the first house which are, Neptune in Aries in the first house (water, rain, floods, ice) until 23 March  2039. Saturn is in Aries currently until 13 February 2028, Pluto in Aquarius in the first house, which is known for its disruptive patterns. and Pluto will be in Aquarius until 2044. Pluto is known as a highly disruptive planet, with its breakdown and rebuild transformative  power, so in weather patterns it shows highly destructive weather patterns. 

Aquarius is known for being sudden and unexpected and  is also violent, so here we see the potential for very destructive storms and weather events more than usual. Incidentally Aquarius's ruler Uranus is notorious for earthquakes activity. Saturn which is ruled by the element of earth, represents the cooling effect and in Aries (hot) we get sudden extremes of weather and natural disasters. Saturn being the great malefic and like Uranus, it is associated with earthquakes which are severe.      

Mars, the little hottie planet is hot, dry and intense,  meaning its highly destructive with droughts being highly likely in some regions. This influence brings electrical storms, with a dry intense heat we are more prone to bushfires. 

 All of this shows unusual and severe weather patterns for the year are indicated, which are unpredictable and highly destructive storms.  So we just need to learn to adapt to the weather patterns and plan accordingly. 

I am glad that this winter won't be as cold this year, as I get older I struggle with aches and pains like all the other dinosaurs out there, lol. 

The Full Moon on May 31st, 2026 is a Blue Micro Full Moon

What a lucky blessing this Blue Full Moon is, it is actually a Blue Micro Full Moon 31st May, and these  only come along every 2-3 years. So please make the most of this opportunity on a spiritual level as well as your daily life. 

The full moon in Australia starts on 31st May at 18.45 pm (6.45pm ) AEST 

The New Moon starts on 15 June 2026 at 12.54pm AEST.

Now is the time to let go (culminating) of things in your life to make way for the new things to enter, clearing the decks so to speak. The energy of the Blue Micro Full Moon is an added and needed bonus to take advantage of, it has extra power to move things out quicker than a regular full moon. 

Now just going into the moon phases briefly, there are 4 phases to be aware of in the monthly cycle. First is the New Moon, and this is important when beginning something new, such as a new relationship, marriage, starting a new business etc, including weight loss. To start anything new on a full moon is definitely doomed to failure. So follow the cycles of the moon for better results. 

One thing that is a good idea on top of this when it comes to a new business is using numerology to enhance your chances of a successful business. Choose the right combination of letters in naming your business or even a name that you wish to be known as professionally. Actors and singers do this all the time. The final stage is from day 12 up to the full moon, this is crunch time. You are now making an appraisal of your efforts like the 7 of pentacles. You have reached a milestone as the Full Moon is treated as a culmination or termination point astrologically speaking. If you have been successful this is where you have brought all of your actions together and seeing the results of your actions. You learn from this process and can use this to move forward. 

The Waning gibbous moon phase is a cycle for bringing things to an end, the culmination of your efforts or experience such as a business. This is a time to rest after the initial hard work has been done, stop check and review. 

On a cautionary note, check moon phases prior to having surgery, as the moon phases control bleeding and can have very severe consequences such as unsuccessful surgery outcomes or even death. The moon rules all body fluids and especially blood flow, the moon also rules hormones. 

You can find lunar calendars online to guide you in important matters and decision making such as legal matters, getting married etc. I do recommend getting a good astrologer that can consult your individual birth chart as to whether it is advisable to proceed with decisions including surgery, buying and selling your home, investments etc. Knowing the green light and the red light for success or failure is essential. You should also be aware of what astrological position the moon is in during the event. The full moon will be in Sagittarius on 31 May, but  that is different to how it shows on your  birth chart you need to check your astrological chart to see how this affects you personally. Even if you don’t know the time that you were born, a rough estimate is taken from where each planet was on that day by using an ephemeris. 

This month’s Blue Micro Full Moon is an excellent one aligned with it being the year of the Fire Horse with its equally fast driving and dynamic energy. So remember the full moon is time to chuck out things that holds us back in life, such as attitudes, beliefs and bad habits. 

The moon phases are very helpful if we know how to use them. This current Blue moon is a golden opportunity to get our act together to achieve wonderful results. Don’t worry if you miss this one because you can always catch up with any future full moon. However the Blue Moon is not expected again until next year on 20 May 2027, so mark it in your calendar. You may wish to print one and highlight the key dates to keep track of them. More importantly stick them in your phone so you see them as they pop up.

Some more information about the moon phases is how to take advantage of the days at the beginning right through to the end on a regular basis. The two weeks after a new moon is the green light phase, so we get busy taking care of business so to speak. This is used for building, drawing on attracting what you want to create or achieve and using each day constructively.

The first three days are for taking the primary steps, focusing your intention on what you want. Accumulating what you need such as materials needed, a client base, ideas , plans etc. 

The fourth to the seventh day or the first quarter of the moon. This is the increasing your pace, expect some hiccups, it’s only natural but keep on going and don’t worry about any setbacks or stalling. Keep going forward and don’t be fearful or feel defeated by a mishap. 

From the eighth day to the eleventh day or Waxing, is the fine tuning or tweaking your goals and objectives realistically. If it works, good, if not rethink what you are trying to achieve. 

From the twelfth to the Full Moon, Culmination point, this is where you make an appraisal of you efforts, 

You have reached the milestone or goal. The Full Moon is a culmination of something, some will terminate here, while others move on to the next phase if they are meant to. This is bringing together all of the actions or processes into one. You can new see the results, what have you gleaned from this process or experience.

One thing that I find frustrating in astrology is dates are slightly out or the time it varies depending on what website you use and then looking at the American Ephemeris for the 21st Century which I normally rely on. If you don't own an ephemeris, www.Astro.com have a free Swiss one. 

One would imagine that they all have the exact same date and time, however it depends on where you are located and the angle of the Earth when doing calculations. When I started to write this post I had used the ephemeris calculations, which are taken from the NASA jet propulsion lab and therefore the most accurate figures, but google shows a few different results. Very confusing for a student like me 🤔 Then there is the rolling (moon wobble as it crosses the elliptical transit and the earth tilt) difference in the effects on the moon phase.

Planet: Jupiter (rules the 9th house)  Elements: Fire and Air House: 12th (ruled by Pisces and Neptune) 

Some of the meanings of the number 10 are wholeness, amplification, consummation and the effects or the results of  completion, heritage, solution, community and transformation 

Unbelievable, this card two months running, isn't that weird! I don't think I have ever had this before. I will take it as an omen.

We are currently in fast moving times and high  fire and air energy. As I look at the cards, I hear "capital punishment is high". Death sentences are carried out without  justice. This is panic mode  to execute people quickly in Iran. 

I feel there is an attempted assassination  or actual assassination of  the prime minister of Pakistan also.  

May is all about law and order, justice, education and money. As in big business, finance and the economy. The energy of May is very aggressive and kill them quick mentality, like the wild west. 

Swift justice and Israel will step up its attacks like a cleansing of terrorists.

Expect disruptions or interruptions to services in May with services and other aspects of daily life. We will especially be impacted with interruptions to  all forms communication. That could also disrupt the internet  and phones for some people, as well as general communication. Remember that this can prolong conflicts, and affecting government and official lines of communication. 

Booking accommodation, such as a hotel rooms, Air B and B etc, could be full of hassles too in May (communication) as well as financial hassles. Make sure your bank account is not short of funds. 

Just for that extra frustration kids will be in a ratty mood too, and being rather demanding. You need to set boundaries and mean it. The days of entitlement are over. children in war zones are already familiar with poverty and loss and children in safe nations need to understand the realities according to their ages.

I feel authority will be challenged world wide,  and I am hearing the words "don't start what you can't finish". There is very powerful energy ruling the month of May, which covers the ongoing conflicts, finance and Business. President Trump will clear the Straits of Hormuz (as of 18/4/26 its open).

President Putin is not too worried about the war in Ukraine either, he seems to raise his head to see if Trump or anyone is actually paying him any attention. Trump is more focused on Iran at present though, so Putin is feeling left out so keep an eye on Russia. 

World leaders are trying hard to negotiate with each other on how to get along better, and how to avoid upsetting Trump. As I look at the card I see the world split in half, but then there seems to be little fragments of nations or organisations with their own little groups. As it is there is the UK, Europe, Australia, Canada and New Zealand  in one such group. The US, Israel  in their own group. (Update 9th house rules foreigners and foreign places) 

Israel is represented by the Sphinx with the sword, smiting their enemies. Actually it’s more Netanyahu rather than the government. We have a religious and business alliance here  that has a rather serious demeanor about it. 

With the Wheel of fortune's energy this can be a real fireball situation, as we have two elements, fire and air. A big gust of wind added to a fire creates chaos as we see with any fire event, buildings or bush fires.  Right now the entire Middle East is a powder keg, where things can get out of hand very easily and very quickly. I do not see the region settling down any time soon, truces won’t last. 

As I look back to the card the number 10  tells me that someone wants to be king. He will use all his power to get what he wants. This is one very determined leader we are talking about, this is Mr Netanyahu, Trump is no match for this guy. Netanyahu seeks control of the region and war is the only outcome for this unfortunately. Remember this is a number one year and the year of the Fire Horse, so this is to be expected. Raw aggressive power which is volatile and violent male energy, that says it's me first baby. 

Other Middle Eastern nations will not cooperate with Netanyahu, and why should they. You don't walk into someone's house and raid the fridge for food and expect them not to be offended. 

I feel it will also be some time before the US and the UK will kiss and make up, the UK is not in a very powerful situation these days either. Sitting between the US and Europe, the nation needs to know who has its back. I would not advise the UK to burn bridges with the US though, they must co operate as they need each other. 

Health and education are highlighted for May, this includes education settings and the actual buildings themselves. What I feel could be due to attacks on the students or the buildings by someone with a grievance or acts or terror. This could also include religious and political ideologies where protest demonstrations are held in or around educational institutions. 

School fights need to be taken more seriously and parents need to be held accountable for their children's behaviour and violence. People have had a gut full of brattish behaviour and less likely to tolerate it any longer. This is the influence of Pluto  on top of the already Pluto in Aquarius until 2044, which means a high level of violence, raw anger and hatred. Pluto rules the underworld including organised crime, it rules the masses and dictatorships.

So when you think of the last two world wars they will look like a Sunday school picnic compared to the next one and these violent youths will be in that war.  Don't think for one minute that they will abide by human rights, because that just ain't going to happen! 

We are also looking at a religious war in its early stages  right now. This is not going to go away, thanks to like minded people. The 9th house of the zodiac is activated, which rules far away places including overseas, education or higher learning, the higher mind, religion, philosophy, the super conscious and the subconscious as well as spiritual beliefs or spirituality. So this affects logical thinking.

Jupiter rules the 9th house of the zodiac and represents good luck, expansion, prosperity, and rules law and order, wealth, big business and higher education. So Jupiter is the law maker and judge, keep that in mind when your children commit a crime.  

With education facilities know where emergency exits are in case of violence such as a lone gunman or terrorism. Be safe please.

As I have said May has explosive energy, so please be very careful when you travel, especially overseas. Do Not Go to regions or countries in conflict. You may not get back out and could be stranded there due to flight disruptions. 

Transport disruptions (communication) are inevitable and not just public transport, include goods of all sorts being transported. 

Sheep are in the news connected to this, as in possible delays in transporting livestock due to fuel shortages or other issues causing a hold up. 

Ireland will be at a flashpoint due to religious and cultural tensions with mass immigration.  

I also feel that Donald Trump will over extend himself in May which could lead to a downfall or disaster. He should be delegating to others more and not taking on too many tasks at once because that is how things don't work out. better planning and foresight is needed. Trump is bringing war to his enemies and may cross the line. His actions are calculated and he is bringing the big guns into conflict, he clearly does not mess around he goes right in for the fight. Unfortunately he never sees the reality of his actions. His views are obstructed and he cannot see what is coming, this does not look good for him or the US. There is also hidden reasons and hidden plans behind his actions that are never scrutinised and certainly not by the public. Multiple things are taking place in secret, the root issues are never seen yet the enormous results are there for all to see. 

Mr Trump tends to take his big stick into meetings as he meets with allies, friends and other leaders. It's me first buddy. What ever happens in May will definitely have long term effects  and this is highly destructive energy. 

May is also a month where it may be rather tricky trying to understand other peoples motives as there is a bit of miscommunication or misunderstanding of facts (communication).

France may step in to negotiate with the Middle East conflicts in a leading role as they are not in agreement with Israel and the US. Defence will be stepped up yet again in May and there will be no backing down. 

Fire is highlighted in May but not just as in combustible fire like a building on fire, its also people being emotionally combustible. Hot tempers flare up through self assertive beliefs with the additional influence of social media as well as mainstream media (communication). 

Social media has by its nature a highly dubious reputation for disinformation which is sometimes deliberate dis information. It pays to check your facts with verifiable sources. 

I feel that in January 2027 storm clouds are gathering again with the US government saber rattling and I hear Pete Hegseth's name and the word “ fury”.

Me thinks we should have a reset, unplug the world and switch it back on for a reboot. 

Well May looks a bit of a s**t storm, and it isn't going to get any nicer unfortunately. My best advice is don't poke any bears, and keep away from the pointy end for a start. The human race seems to have madness infecting their subconscious, please don't join in this insanity of evil. Teach your children the consequences of violence and accountability lest they end up  living in a darker world than it already is.

We need our youth  to avoid the evils of a sick society globally. The reset is long, painful and a hellish price to pay.
