This is a medical expert’s report on Hantavirus and how it spreads. He states right down the bottom of the article that most hantaviruses are not spread by human to human contact. That includes the Andes virus, person to person contact is very rare, and requires close or prolonged contact.
Still there is more detective work to be done here, as he points out. It’s still very sad that people have died and extremely distressing for everyone involved in this matter.
