Yay the winter solstice is here today and it’s the shortest day of the year in the southern hemisphere and the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere. In southern Canberra it was minus 7.5 to start the day and it felt like minus 10. Not a penguin in sight though, they are hibernating I’m sure.
