This is an awesome discovery for Australia and hopefully we will learn much from this site. The region gets very cold in winter including snowfall. It would be very hard to survive in freezing winters back then. Summers are cooler than Sydney due to the altitude. The Blue Mountains are a beautiful place to visit and a must do for tourists, The Blue Mountains and Katoomba are buzzing with people all year round due to the beautiful scenery and tourist attractions. So if you come from overseas, please put this area on your itinerary.
